Exhibition at Bergen Kunsthall

Mari Slaattelid

From d. 23. of May to d. 11. of august 2019 you can experience the colorful exhibition 'Kystverket' by Mari Slaattelid (b. 1960) - one of Norway's most recognized painters. The title reflects the main motif in many of her new paintings: a coastal landscape with a lantern. The big scale paintings are painted in powerful colors with expressive paint strokes. 

Mari Slaattelid studied at the academies of art in Bergen, Oslo and Düsseldorf and now she lives in Oslo. In her artistic practice she shift between figuration and abstraction and between conceptual and expressive paintings. I really enjoyed these paintings, and can warmly recommend you to see them.
