Artist statement

'A work of art does not have to be explained. If you do not have any feelings about it, I cannot explain it to you. If it does not touch you, I have failed' - Louise Bourgeois

This quote describes the tread of consistency in my art practice. I wish to find a way to affect the viewer´s emotions. Working to connect with the viewers body, mu piece plays upon the devices of seduction and disruption to produce a series of bodily reactions.

In my practice I mainly work with installation and sculptures that embodies non-recognizable forms. I use non-traditional ways of dealing with the materials and enjoy developing and exploring my own techniques. The sense of touch and the tactile quality of the material are important components when I try to enhance the viewer's sense of presence with my pieces.

My work can appear as dreamlike expression in which fiction and reality meet - meaning shift, past and present fuse while time and memory always play a key role.

I invite the viewer to investigate and set their imagination in motion, to explore, to embody, to re-imagine and re-feel.
